Suggested Use:
Explain that learners will be learning words connected to pulses and cereals. Reveal the various images and lead students , through miming, examples, explanation and / or translation to the target meaning. Maintain the written word hidden, focussing on pronunciation , meaning and memory. When all items are reasonably learnt, reveal the written form of the word and allow students to register.
Consolidate learning by getting students to play some memory recall games. A picture and word matching game is included. Divide class into two teams. Either allow team members to come up to the front and select a blue (word) and a red (picture) or get them to tell you which squares they select. If they match, drag the team tokens, (yellow or green) circles at the bottom , to the corresponding squares. Team with the most matches wins :) .
